Description
Ultrabead mechanical filtration: the pressure of the pump pushes the water through the beads, while the dirt particles get trapped between the beads. The pressure of the beads presses the water through the beads, while the bead pressure forces the beads through the water. The biggest advantage of the Ultrabead filter here is the filter cleaning technology. The filter is cleaned in cooperation with an air pump. The air pump allows the entire contents of the filter to be shaken out and, after the filter washing cycle, the entire inside of the filter is completely cleaned. In comparison, sand filters have a static filter material and the washing process usually only flushes out the larger particles of dirt that have accumulated on the sand surface. Particles stuck in the deeper layers of the filter sand will remain there until the filter sand is replaced. Ultrabead filter media never needs to be removed, further cleaned or replaced.
