Description
The combination of ozone and UV-C integrated into this cleverly designed disinfection system ensures clean, fresh and healthy pool water every time, with the possibility of using the minimum amount of chlorine added. The air is sucked in from the outside into the space between the UV-C lamp and the quartz sleeve via the included fan. The special UV-C lamp produces both 254 nm and 185 nm radiation. The 185 nm radiation converts the oxygen present in the water into ozone. The ozone produced (maximum 0.6 g/h) is mixed with water through a venturi to perform its disinfection and oxidation function. Inside the UV-C enclosure, 254 nm UV-C radiation converts all ozone residues into OH radicals (the so-called advanced oxidation process), which have an even stronger oxidising power than ozone. This device provides triple disinfection: ozone, OH radicals and UV-C! The body of the Duplex UV-C unit is made of Duplex stainless steel.
